This Menstrual Awareness Project provides accurate, age-appropriate, and scientific knowledge about menstruation with the support of experienced healthcare professionals. The session creates a safe and supportive space where participants learn openly and ask questions without fear or stigma. The program covers important topics such as what menstruation is, the usual starting age, how the menstrual cycle happens, and common physical and emotional symptoms. It also explains what to eat and what to avoid during periods, along with guidance on healthy practices—what to do and what not to do. Participants learn the correct use and disposal of sanitary pads. A key focus of the session addresses and corrects common myths and misconceptions related to menstruation, helping participants understand periods as a natural and healthy biological process. Through expert guidance and discussion, the project promotes menstrual hygiene, confidence, and informed decision-making

About Charity

Prochesta works to empower vulnerable communities through social welfare, awareness, and development programs. Our women-led subunit, Agnija, leads all women-focused initiatives, showcasing that women’s leadership drives real change.

We organize needs-based food distributions, old and new clothes distribution for the needy, elderly, and orphan children, blanket drives in winter, and cultural inclusion activities like Durga Puja pandal hopping with orphan children.

In education and health, we run menstrual hygiene programs in schools, Good Touch–Bad Touch awareness for primary students, and women hygiene awareness with essential kits, all guided by Agnija. Tree plantation drives on World Environment Day highlight our commitment to sustainability.

Through these initiatives, Prochesta spreads empowerment, dignity, and compassion, impacting lives across all genders, ages, and communities.
